UAE Adds New Cohort of Nuclear Energy Professionals at the Barakah Plant

- 87 new nuclear reactor operators have been certified, bringing the total to 159 Senior Reactor Operators (SROs) and Reactor Operators (Ros) fully qualified to work at the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant; of which 60 are UAE Nationals including eight females.

- SROs and ROs are certified by the UAE’s independent nuclear regulator, the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) following advanced training, examination and licensing.
